Microsoft Teams: New calendar experience

Microsoft Teams is set to release a new Calendar app which integrates Teams and Outlook, offering advanced scheduling, meeting creation, and multitasking features. The new opt-in experience aims to unify the calendar across both platforms, providing a single modern, intelligent, and coherent calendar. The rollout will start in mid-November 2024 for Targeted Release users and mid-January 2025 for General Availability. Advanced calendar surface features, Enhanced meeting creation, Peak view experience, Weather integration, and Work plan integration will be the highlights of this new calendar experience, which will be available to Teams on Windows and Mac desktops. Users can easily opt-in by toggling to the New Calendar interface within the calendar app in Teams. This change will happen automatically, and no admin action is required, but organizations may want to notify their users and update relevant documentation.
