New home experience for Viva Connections desktop

Microsoft's Viva Connections is introducing a new desktop experience that optimizes content for a modern employee experience. The new home experience serves as an option that personalizes content, centers essential job tasks, provides convenient access to other Viva experiences, and aligns with the mobile experience. The design uses existing assets from your organization’s home site and Viva Connections’ Dashboard, Feed, and Resources. Existing content will pre-populate the new home experience for organizations already using Viva Connections, and the default experience, featuring starter cards on the Dashboard, won't affect the mobile experience for those who haven't used it yet. Admins and editors will be able to edit content and manage permissions from Microsoft Teams. The new desktop experience will become generally available in 2023.

To prepare for this change, it's important for Viva Connections admins and editors to get familiar with how to customize the new home experience and how permissions work.
