Microsoft SharePoint eSignature: Adobe Acrobat Sign and Docusign integration will roll out globally

This post highlights the global rollout of Microsoft SharePoint eSignature integration with Adobe Acrobat Sign and Docusign, eliminating the need for native SharePoint eSignature activation. The rollout will commence in early November 2024 and will be completed by mid-November. Admins have to enable this feature in the Microsoft admin center. With this global rollout, customers all over the world will be able to use third-party providers wherever they are supported without enabling native SharePoint eSignature as a prerequisite.
Before this rollout, the use of third-party providers was limited to regions supported by the native Microsoft SharePoint eSignature. However, after this change, users can initiate eSignature requests with Adobe Acrobat Sign or Docusign from SharePoint. Pay-as-you-go must be set up to enable SharePoint eSignature, but Microsoft will not charge customers for using third-party providers. This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID 421194.
If you are a Microsoft 365 user with licenses for Adobe Acrobat Sign or Docusign, this is great news as you will now have widespread access to these services from SharePoint. Admins should enable the feature in the Microsoft admin center under Setup > Automate content with Syntex > Go to Syntex > eSignature. This post is associated with Message ID: MC910979.
