Microsoft Syntex Content Assembly Pay-As-You-Go updates

Microsoft Syntex Content Assembly is set to receive pay-as-you-go billing in the near future. This service will be rolled out in multiple phases with a late May 2023 start for Targeted Release and mid-June 2023 for Standard Release, with completion slated for late June 2023.

After enabling Syntex in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, admins will be required to enter Azure Billing details to configure the Content Assembly service. Once enabled, all users will be able to create templates, generating documents based on them throughout the tenant's document libraries. However, admins can also disable Content Assembly to completely restrict access to these services. Organizations will be charged for utilizing this feature based on the number of documents generated, making it a paid product.

For those with pre-existing Syntex seat licenses, no further action is required, although users should be notified of this new capability. Existing capabilities will remain intact. Those using the "Generate documents using Microsoft Syntex (preview)" Power Automate action will be able to continue using it until July 15, 2023, but will then be required to enter Azure billing details and enable Content Assembly to continue automating document generation using this Power Automate action. There will be a charge for the number of documents generated using Power Automate.

Overall, these changes add new flexibility and customization options for Microsoft Syntex Content Assembly while ensuring appropriate pay-as-you-go pricing for users.
