Microsoft Teams: Hide presenters, translators, moderators or staff from webinar event page
In an upcoming update to Microsoft Teams, webinar hosts will be able to add presenters with certain privileges without displaying them on the event page. This feature is set to roll out on Teams for Windows and the web between early August and early September 2024. Previously, all presenters were displayed on the event page. With this new capability, webinar hosts can designate roles like translators, moderators, and other supporting staff who do not need to be on the event page. Presenters with newly added privileges can still manage attendee visibility, share their screens, and manage their audio, while the host subsequently manages the webinar. Users can conveniently access this feature by navigating to Teams calendar, selecting "New meeting > Webinar > Presenter bios > Select Hide from site in the three-dot menu". This feature will come enabled as a default setting and will be accessible for all Teams users on Windows and web. There are no pre-rollout admin actions required from users.
Keep your users informed about this change and update your relevant documentation. Microsoft will update its post with new information before the update rolls out.
