OneDrive: Admins can configure a group policy to block specific folders from OneDrive Sync
OneDrive admins can now configure a group policy to prevent specific folders from being synced within their tenant. This new feature adds to the ability of admins to exclude specific files and file extensions from syncing as well. End users will be able to see which folders have been excluded in their OneDrive Advanced Settings. This feature is already generally available and was released in October CY2023, applying across all platforms including Mac and all cloud instances including GCC High, Worldwide (Standard Multi-Tenant), GCC, and DoD. This new capability will allow for more control over which files and folders are synchronized in the cloud, granting greater security and flexibility for all.
