New Audit Logs for Security Admins in Microsoft Purview Compliance Portal | M365 Admin
Microsoft Purview's Compliance portal will soon introduce new logs for security administrator activities, starting with Public Preview in late May 2024 and General Availability by mid-June 2024. These new activities will include actions like submitting an audit search query, enabling/disabling auditing, or modifying audit log retention policies. No action is required to start logging these new activities, as Microsoft Purview auditing solutions records thousands of user and admin operations in your organization's unified audit log. This integration provides an integrated approach to help organizations address security incidents, forensic and internal investigations, and compliance requirements, providing effective and comprehensive solutions.
