Limit frontline worker access to Teams when off shift

Limit frontline worker access to Teams when off shift

We’re excited to announce that the frontline working time feature is now generally available! This feature allows admins to block or warn access for frontline workers if they access Microsoft Teams while off shift. This feature can be combined with quiet time policies to suppress notifications while off shift.

Why we built this

This feature was designed for frontline workers who access Microsoft Teams on a personal or company provided dedicated device. You should consider using working time if you’re concerned about the following scenarios:

  • You’re concerned about frontline workers asking for pay outside of working hours if they access work apps.
  • Local laws and regulations require you to restrict access to work apps when employees are off shift.
