Microsoft Teams: Attach Cloud Files in Chat and Channel from Teams Mobile
Microsoft Teams is adding a new capability that allows users to upload files from OneDrive to Teams Mobile chat and channel for both iOS and Android. In addition to this, users can view recent files and attach frequently used files upfront from the Recent section. This update will roll out from late June 2023 and is expected to be complete by mid-July 2023. To upload files, users can click on the '+' icon in any chat or channel message when composing and then click on the paperclip icon. There is no action required from the users at this time, and they can be notified of this update.
The message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap IDs 98321 and 98327. This update comes as a welcome addition to Microsoft Teams, enabling users to easily attach cloud files in chats and channels from their mobile devices.
