Azure Communication Services Email provides key capabilities that enable efficient resource management, domain customization, low code integration, delivery analytics, and multiple sender support.

  1. Delivery Analytics: Azure Communication Services Email provides robust delivery analytics enabling developers to measure the success of delivery and obtain richer engagement tracking data. Analytics can also assist in detecting any malicious activity or potential system abuse, ensuring the protection of user data. For more information, please refer to the Communication Services Logs concept document.
  2. Low Code Integration: Developers can easily integrate Azure Communication Services Email with PowerApps and Logic Apps for low code/no code workflows. Check out the QuickStart -Send email message in Power Automate to get started
  3. Bring your own domain: Azure Communication Services makes it easy to connect and send email using your own custom domain to enrich your notification story using your own brand. For step-by-step instructions, visit How to add custom verified domains to Email?
  1. Built on Azure: Azure Communication Services Email leverages common Azure systems such as Azure Resource Manager, which enables developers to programmatically manage and scale resources. To learn more, please refer to the Quickstart - Create and manage Email Communication Service resource
  2. Multiple Sender Support: The communication platform now supports multiple mail-from addresses, which allows for enhanced branding and email reputation maintenance while providing consistent customer experience across all communications. Visit the QuickStart to learn more.

By combining Azure Communication Services Email with the existing SMS, voice, and video services, businesses can create a multichannel communication platform that enables high-volume notifications. This platform would provide a seamless experience for customers across all communication channels, consolidated in a single place. Azure Communication Services provides reliable and efficient message delivery at large scale, ensuring high performance and businesses with proven delivery track records can also request specific volume needs that the platform can fulfil.

Azure Communication Services Email prioritizes email delivery rates by supporting and enforcing Sender Authentication. Sender Authentication allows for the configuration of Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and Domain Key Identified Email (DKIM), which can help improve email deliverability. Please see Email domains and sender authentication.

Overall, Email is an important addition to Azure Communication Services platform and will help businesses unlock new possibilities when it comes to communicating with customers and partners alike. With its comprehensive set of APIs and powerful analytics capabilities, it provides a reliable foundation on which developers can build custom applications that integrate one or more communication channels into one unified experience for customers.
