Tasks in Microsoft Loop Components Will Start Syncing with Planner and To Do

Tasks in Microsoft Loop Components Will Start Syncing with Planner and To Do

Microsoft is rolling out a new feature that allows all tasks created in Loop components to sync across various Microsoft 365 apps including Microsoft To Do, Microsoft Planner, and Tasks app in Teams. This feature will become available in mid-June 2023 and is expected to complete its rollout by mid-July 2023. Task list Loop components, which are currently available in Outlook and Teams, can be inserted into emails and chats through a 'Loop Components' insertion menu. With this new feature, updates on tasks being added or completed will sync across all places where the task list was shared, regardless of where the edits are being completed. Assigned tasks will also appear in To Do under the 'Assigned to me' smart list.

No preparation is needed for this change. Once rolled out, users will be able to work on these tasks in Microsoft Planner and everywhere they can access Planner plans (such as Tasks in Teams) or tasks (such as To Do). More information can be found here.

This new development will be useful for individuals and organizations that manage and collaborate on tasks across multiple platforms.
