Loop workspaces will start counting towards tenant storage quotas

Loop workspaces will start counting towards tenant storage quotas

In case you use Loop, an app that facilitates collaborative planning, thinking, and creating, this information is important for you to know. During the Public Preview phase of the Loop app, workspaces did not count towards the storage quota of your tenant. However, as the app moves out of Public Preview, workspaces will now be counted towards your tenant's SharePoint storage quota. This change will start taking effect late between October and November 2023. This means that workspaces created during Public Preview will now count towards your storage quota, and it's important to take note of this as new workspaces will have a 1TB maximum size and count towards the storage quota. Nonetheless, you don't need to do anything to enable this change, but if required, you can prevent the creation of more Loop workspaces by disabling Loop workspaces in your organization using an admin setting. You can see the exact storage consumption of Loop workspaces by following a few simple steps to obtain the Owning Application Id and Application Name associated with Loop and then running Get-SPOContainer.
