European Union Lines up Anti-Trust Charges Against Microsoft
The European Union is taking aim at Microsoft with new anti-trust charges related to their Teams product. While Teams has already been unbundled from Office 365, the EU is still pursuing charges related to anti-competitive behavior. It remains to be seen what remedy the EU will seek, but a fine of up to 10% of Microsoft's worldwide revenues is a possibility. This situation highlights the difficulty of competing against an integrated solution, even with efforts to unbundle products.
