What is it that I can edit but can’t see as a system administrator?

Have you ever wondered what you can edit as a system administrator in a particular environment but can't see? It turns out that there's an answer to this question, and it's a bit counterintuitive. Let's say you're an admin, and you know there's a "Permissions Test" canvas app in the environment you're managing. You might think that you'd be able to see it, but in reality, it might not be showing up.

So, what's going on? Essentially, even though you have admin privileges, you won't be able to see canvas apps that haven't been explicitly shared with you. In other words, just because you're an admin doesn't automatically mean you have access to every app on the system. This might seem strange, but it's an intentional design choice meant to ensure that sensitive apps are only accessible to those who need them.

If you're facing this issue and need to access a canvas app that hasn't been shared with you, you can either get access to it from the owner or ask them to share it with you explicitly. Overall, it's important to keep the design of the system in mind and respect access restrictions to sensitive data to avoid any data breaches.
