Additional API Capabilities for Tasks in Teams and Planner

Microsoft Planner APIs are receiving additional capabilities that make working with tasks in organizations more straightforward. The new application permission features consist of two improvements, including Business Scenario capabilities and Application permissions. The Business Scenario capabilities are intended to make it easier for external inputs to be integrated with tasks for the appropriate team. For instance, an application could be developed to listen for warning events from machine sensors and create a task as a result. Additionally, the Application permissions and Delegated permissions will allow developers to create fully automated workflows without requiring a signed-in user, providing better integration for organizations. These features are expected to be rolled out for public preview in mid-November, with rollout completion at the end of November. You can get additional information at the linked blog post.
