Teams PowerShell module finally adds support for application authentication!
The Microsoft Teams PowerShell module has introduced (preview) support for application context authentication, offering an important feature to users. The new feature is significant because it allows automation of tasks that require the complex user interaction API available, which was previously required. With application authentication support, the user can run the cmdlet with a service credential and automate the processes without the need to rely on the user interaction API.
PowerShell is increasingly becoming a popular tool for IT administrators, and this recent development adds to its usefulness. As the Teams PowerShell module continues to develop, more features will likely be added to improve functionality and give users more options to streamline their work.
So if you're a Teams administrator looking to automate tasks on the platform, check out the Microsoft Teams PowerShell module with application context authentication support!
