Announcing Public preview of IP Firewall in Dataverse
Microsoft has recently announced the completion of the global rollout of IP Firewall Public Preview for Dataverse which was initially announced during BUILD'23. This new feature provides data protection and enhanced access control measures to holistically secure the user's computing infrastructure. As of July 7th, 2023, this IP Firewall feature is available for all customers, in all geographies, helping them keep their data safe and secure.
The IP Firewall enables users to effectively manage access and security measures, by applying right access controls, for data transfer across cross-geo firewalls by leveraging the Public internet. It also helps the organizations achieve compliance and other regulatory requirements. This feature comes as a relief to the security-conscious customers who opt for cloud computing-based services, by mitigating security risks and data breaches.
In conclusion, the IP Firewall feature adds significant value to the Dataverse and makes it more secure and reliable for users to store and process their data. It's a welcome addition that enhances the infrastructure's resilience and ensures data security for all its users.
