Visio: Edit legacy .vsd files in Visio for the web [Visio Plan 1, Plan 2]

Visio users with either Visio Plan 1 or Visio Plan 2 license will now be able to edit legacy .vsd files in Visio for the web. The editing process involves creating an exact copy of the file, except macros, and saving it in the latest .vsdx format. This new functionality provides flexibility and ease of use for users who need to edit older files without the hassle of having to convert them manually.

The release of this feature is part of Microsoft's roadmap for Visio for the web and is set to reach general availability release phase by March CY2024. This platform runs on the cloud and is available worldwide for Standard Multi-Tenant instances. The feature ID for this update is 186204.

If you are using Visio Plan 1 or Plan 2, this new feature provides a seamless and convenient way to work with older files in the latest version of Visio for the web.
