Microsoft Places will be generally available in Q4 CY24

Microsoft Places, an AI-powered app designed for flexible work, will be generally available in Q4 CY24. The app will come with both core and premium service plans, with existing Office 365 subscribers getting the core service plan that includes basic functionality for workplace coordination. Teams Premium subscribers will have access to enhanced features. The rollout will take place in November across all platforms. Microsoft Places uses AI to intelligently coordinate a hybrid team, modernize employee connections, and optimize space management with occupancy and utilization data. The app will have two new service plans for core and premium features: Places Core and Microsoft Places Premium. Existing customers will see an additional service plan, Places Core, as part of their Office 365 subscription. The enhanced features under the premium plan include Places Finder, intelligent booking, Places Explorer, Places Space Analytics, and auto-release policies, which will be available for Teams Premium subscribers. The service plans will be backfilled into various Microsoft 365 and Office 365 SKUs, and the rollout of both plans will begin in mid- to late-November for all platforms. Once the core service plan is deployed, core features will become available within the Office 365 subscription, and enhanced experiences will require additional deployment planning.
