Announcing the Semantic Index for Copilot

Announcing the Semantic Index for Copilot

Microsoft has recently announced the new Semantic Index for Copilot - a powerful capability that will greatly enhance enterprise search results for Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 customers. As a core part of the Copilot system, the Semantic Index maps individual and company data, providing a foundation for customers to access the most relevant information in their enterprise search results.

Rolling out later this year, Semantic Index for Copilot is available in Microsoft 365 E3 and E5 and will not impact customers' organizations in any way at this time. As Microsoft releases additional information on admin controls and settings that can be used to manage this feature, customers will be notified through the Message Center in the Microsoft 365 admin center.

This new capability is yet another example of Microsoft's commitment to providing powerful tools that help organizations leverage their data and knowledge to drive productivity.

For more information about Semantic Index for Copilot, please see the blog post linked in the article and stay tuned for further announcements on the Microsoft 365 public roadmap website.
