MappyField 365, a mapping plugin for Dynamics CRM, is all set to make optimizing routes, plotting, and managing pre-scheduled meetings a breeze!

MappyField 365 has released new features and updates that will take your business a notch above your competitors. Seeing the increasing need for businesses to have an all-encompassing mapping system for efficient on-field work, MappyField 365 has developed six new features.

Let's explore all the latest features!

Latest Features of MappyField 365

Enlisted below are six new features of Dynamics 365 Map that will make your

  • Add and view notes

MappyField users can now add notes and view them anytime they open a particular entity's records. Additionally, Dynamics 365 Map users can attach important documents and images and enter a textual message in the notes section.

For example, a sales rep adds notes mentioning the client's complaints while in a meeting. The representative also attaches a document along with images supporting the complaints. The salesperson or anyone accessing the entity's records can see the notes along with the attached documents and images.

  • Import external data in CSV and plot them

Previously, you could only plot the data on the pre-uploaded map on Dynamics 365 CRM. However, the latest feature lets you import external data in a CSV file and plot it on the map. Therefore, the feature eliminated all the back and forth that teams had to do to enter the data in CRM first and then plot it on the map.

However, the new MappyField feature allows CRM users to import external data in the CSV file format, eliminating the hassle of entering the data into the CRM first.

For example, you have records of 50 new doctors and 200 new patients. Now, to visualize them on the map, you can simply import the CSV file with all the relevant data. Once the file is uploaded, you can plot them on the map without having to enter the data in your Dynamics CRM first.

  • Color-coded pushpins to represent different entities

Plotting the complex Dynamics CRM data on the map makes it easier for users to identify the entities. For instance, color-coding the pushpins will help you determine that 'green' pushpins represent accounts, yellow pushpins mean contacts, and blue ones are cases.

Along with helping identify different entities on the map, colored pushpins also assist with geospatial analysis. With colorized pushpins in Dynamics 365 Map, users can easily determine geographic concentrations, patterns, target markets, etc.

However, with MappyField 365's new pushpin colorization feature, you can configure different colors depending on the field values. For instance, you may wish to color code all the departments in your organization, such as Finance, Marketing, HR, Sales, Development, etc.

From the backend, you can easily configure the colors of each of these departments. Now, whenever you want to plot employees from all the departments on the map, you will see colored pushpins representing the employee's department! Say, you can see all the employees from the sales department in yellow, marketing in blue, business development in pink, and so on.

  • Create an activity when updating routes

The latest feature lets Dynamics 365 Map users create an activity like 'meeting' when updating or creating routes. Once the activity has been created, the system generates a route for the sales reps, which they can easily access on the MappyField app.

For example, a sales rep has three meetings scheduled for the day. To find the best route and appointment timings, you can go to MappyField 365, select the entities, create an activity, and get all the essential details.

The generated route highlights details such as the duration of the meeting and the starting and ending locations. You can also manually set or edit these details at your convenience.

  • View related records on the map

On the Dynamics 365 Map, you can check and plot the related records of a particular entity. For example, if you want to view John Doe's related records on the map, you simply have to click on the individual's pushpin. A menu will open up in the sidebar, wherein you can see all the related records of that entity.

Furthermore, these related records will be visualized on the map in color-coded pushpins. In short, you can see all the related data for one entity without finding each data separately from the CRM.

  • Add a map to a particular entity's record

The latest Dynamics 365 Map feature allows you to add a map to any individual's record. For example, you open John Doe's profile on Dynamics CRM. In addition to other details, you can see the entity's location plotted on the map.

You can click on the entity's pin to open the sidebar that includes the record's pin to see information like address, full name, annual revenue, contact number, etc.

You can also quickly access other settings, including proximity search, add/view notes, find points of interest, etc.
